Team USA is setting world records and winning gold. USA Swimmer Michael Phelps has won his third gold medal of these Olympic Games. Also winning gold were Natalie Coughlin and Aaron Peirsol. Both successfully defended their gold medals from the 2004 summer games in the 100-meter backstroke. There’s a gold medal for a 26-year old Texan, Walton Eller, in Men’s Double trap shooting.
Out of the hundreds of athletes from around the world competing in the games of the 29th Olympiad, it’s encouraging to hear how they handle the pressure. Here’s just one example from Australian badminton player Stuart Gomez.
