Highlights from day thirteen

The dominance of USA Softball comes to an end. The USA Women’s Softball team denied their fourth straight Olympic gold medal. Japan defeated Team USA by a final score of 3 to 1. It was also a silver medal for the USA Women’s Water Polo team. It was a better day at the Bird’s Nest where USA’s LaShawn Merritt took gold in the men’s 400 meters. The USA Women’s Basketball team advances to the gold medal game.
