Super Bowl 44 will be played this Sunday in south Florida. The Indianapolis Colts of the AFC are favored over the NFC New Orleans Saints. A number of Christian players will be involved in this year’s game. We’d like to tell you about a few of them.
DREW BREES, Saints – Brees is an emotional and spiritual leader for his team. His former quarterbacks coach, Cam Cameron, also a Christian had a big impact on Brees in San Diego.
HEATH EVANS, Saints – The former Auburn fullback is with his third NFL team. He previously played in a Super Bowl with New England. He has shared on Sports Spectrum how he has seen the Lord lead him from team to team for His purpose and not his own.
MALCOLM JENKINS, Saints – The rookie defensive back was one of many players involved in an Athletes in Action bible study at Ohio State.
JEFF SATURDAY, Colts – Jeff is a Cinderella story. He was an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina who is now a Pro Bowler. He is one of the more solid Christian players in the league.
JACOB TAMME, Colts – The former Kentucky Wildcat is in his second year in Indianapolis. He continues to grow in his faith.
